Case against Alec Baldwin Dismissed

This is rather disgusting. The case was dismissed by the Judge due to mishandling of evidence (I’m sure President Trump would like to have his case dismissed for the same reason).

At the end of the day, Alec was ultimately responsible for the death of Halyna Hutchins and injuring another. You never assume that the gun you are handed is empty or using the correct type of ammunition, in this case blanks. When I go to a gun store and ask to see a gun, I watch the store employee clear the gun, then they had it to me, and I immediately clear it myself. You make these kinds of things a habit – that way you are less likely to make a mistake.

Had the 4 basic rules of firearms been followed,Halyna Hutchins would still be alive today. As a refresher here they are (You can never be reminded of these enough):

1. Always treat a firearms as though it is loaded
2. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot
3. Never aim a gun at anything you are not willing to destroy
4. Know your target and what is beyond it.

Just shows to go you (as Beavis says) it’s not what you do, but who you are that can ultimately decide your fate.
