Greenwood Park Mall Shooter stopped by CCW Carrier Zion Patriot, July 18, 2022July 20, 2022 July 17, 2022 A shooter entered a food court in the Greenwood Park Mall with a “long rifle” and “several magazines” and began shooting people in the area. Unfortunately he was able to kill 3 people and injure 2 more before he was shot and killed by a 22-year old man with a CCW permit. This situation could have been so much worse had the CCW holder not been there. Update The 22-year old hero did not have a permit. He was exercising his constitutional right under the state’s recently enacted “Constitutional Carry” law that went into effect on July 1, 2022. We have further learned that the hero fired 10 shots from 40 yards away and hit the shooter 8 times with no one else injured or killed from his bullets. Once the shooter was incapacitated the hero moved to make sure he was contained and motioned for people to escape behind him. The police chief has heralded the actions of this hero and praised him for his skill. He also noted that the hero does not have any police or military training. Good Guy With a Gun
