First Ukraine, Then Israel. Could We Be Next? Zion Patriot, October 17, 2023October 17, 2023 Why is the Second Amendment so important? The best answer is to simply look at what is happening in Ukraine and Israel. With both of these countries under attack, their leaders are scrambling to arm citizens to help fend off the aggressors. Both countries do not have a “right to keep and bear arms” enshrined in their constitution and obtaining a firearm is a very difficult and near impossible task for many. However, once both of these countries were attacked, leadership quickly moved to loosen their firearm ownership rules to help get more citizens armed. Many Gun Control activists have pointed to Israel as a shining example of what gun control looks like. They claim that Israel has one of the best armies and the people are protected, but when Hamas attacked the army was nowhere to be found. The terrorists were seen going door to door where they killed, raped and kidnapped defenseless Israelis. They have even been observed beheading children while their parents watched helplessly. The second amendment was written to help our citizens protect our country from enemies both foreign and domestic. It is critical that we protect our right to keep and bear arms so that if an aggressor tries to do you and your family harm, you can protect yourself and your loved ones. It is better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. Gun Control Politics
