Biden/Harris 2024?

Following the horrible first debate performance of Joe Biden against former President Donald Trump, there have been many calls for Joe to step down so they can select a new Democrat nominee. Some of the names being bantered around include Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton and Gavin Newsom.

However, this would not be a good move or look for the party that claims Trump is out to destroy “our democracy“. The party that claims they would protect democracy would be making the most anti democratic move if they did this.

As of today, Biden has received 3,894 votes in the Democrat primary. Only one challenger, Dean Philips, received any votes, and he only got 4. If the democrats seek to replace Biden with any one other than Harris, they would be telling their own party “Democracy be damned”. This really puts them between a rock and a hard place.

Of course, leave it to the democrats to do what they accuse the Republicans, especially Trump, of doing. In the meantime, break out your popcorn, sit back and enjoy watching the spin if they do try to “Save democracy” by destroying it.
