Trump/Vance For The Win Zion Patriot, November 8, 2024November 8, 2024 We will find out what it means when Kamala said on many occasions, “Unburdened by what has been”. Not only did Donald J Trump win the electoral college, but also it looks like he took the popular vote by nearly 4.5 million votes. And as if that is not good enough, the Republicans have also re-taken the senate (currently with 52 seats and projects are for 54 total seats) and it looks like they will also retain the house (current projections predict 222 to 213). Overall, Trump has received 51.56% of the popular vote to Kamala’s 48.44%. That is a resounding 3.12% difference. This number can change as not all votes are fully counted, but at this juncture it will be pretty close. It should be noted that in 2016, Trump beat Clinton 306 to 232 and in 2020 Biden flipped that margin exactly, but in 2024 Trump won the Electoral College 312 to 226, extending his 2016 win and beating Biden’s 2020 win. While not the Historic defeat in the 1984 Reagan/Mondale (Regan won the electoral college 525 to 13), this was still a solid win for Trump. The “Too Big to Rig” movement certainly came through for him. The 2024 Election was not only a historic comeback for Trump, but a referendum on the progressive ideals and policies of the Democrat party. Everyday Americans have been struggling to pay their bills and buy groceries. Illegal immigration is out of control and crime is at historic levels. Most Americans are more concerned about their financial and personal safety than they are about LGBT (specifically the “T”s) and giveaways to people who have flooded this country illegally. This may also prove to be a critical 4 years for Trump to not only prove all of his detractors wrong, but he may have the opportunity to nominate additional Supreme Court Justices. Currently, 3 of the 9 justices are 70 and older, with Clarence Thomas the oldest at 76. Two of the three justices were appointed by Republicans and the remaining justice, Sonia Sotomayor, was appointed by a Democrat. It’s unlikely Justice Sotomayor will retire, so we probably won’t see a change in the makeup of the court, but he may have the opportunity to ensure that makeup stays solidly conservative for quite some time. We cannot rest on our laurels, Trump has made several promises to the gun community and we need to make sure we hold him to those promises. We do not have enough of a majority in the Senate to overcome the filibuster (I bet the Democrats are happy they did get rid of the filibuster now). I would like to see a lot more restrictions placed on the ATF. Better yet, Let’s make the ATF the BAT and make them leave (us and our guns) the “F” alone. Now for a list of all of the things that opponents to Trump are predicting under his term: This will be our last election ever. Women will lose their rights (specifically regarding Abortion, but some see this as expanding beyond that) Drive inflation up with Tariffs Tax breaks only for the ultra wealthy Destroy the environment (some claim we won’t have an inhabitable planet within a year of his taking office again) Trump will separate “trans” kids from families LGBT community people will be placed in interment camps or will not be safe to walk down the street. Political Enemies, Journalists and those opposed to Trump will be jailed. Trump will end all Social Security benefits. He will get rid of the Constitution. Regardless of political leanings, it’s undeniable that this election has highlighted the significant divides in our nation. While Trump supporters see his win as a victory for conservative values and a return to order, many on the other side are deeply concerned about the future of rights and freedoms they hold dear. As we move forward, it’s essential to keep our leaders accountable and ensure they deliver on the promises that brought them into office. For Conservatives and Moderates, this victory represents a new chapter, but it’s also a reminder that meaningful change doesn’t happen by simply winning elections—it requires ongoing dedication and vigilance. Whether it’s protecting constitutional rights, securing our borders, or reining in government overreach, now is the time to stay engaged and active. America’s future is shaped by those who are willing to fight for it, and the work has only just begun. 2A News
