United We Stand: Countering Hate-Fueled Violence Together

The White House has announced a special summit to be held on September 1, 2022 called, “United We Stand: Countering Hate-Fueled Violence Together”. Joe Biden is set to be the keynote speaker at this gathering to discuss how to curb the, “corrosive effects of hate-fueled violence on our democracy and public safety, highlight the response of the Biden-Harris Administration and communities nationwide to these dangers, and put forward a shared, bipartisan vision for a more united America.”

Those invited to the gathering include “bipartisan federal, state, and local officials, civil rights groups, faith and community leaders, technology and business leaders, law enforcement officials, former members of violent extremist groups who now work to prevent violence, gun violence prevention leaders, media representatives, and cultural figures.”

Notice there is no mention of any groups representing gun owners or gun rights advocacy groups being invited. This is certain to be an echo chamber for all of these anti-gun groups to beat their chests and proclaim that guns are the problem rather than look for real solutions to the violence we are seeing in our country.

Responsible gun owners are not the ones causing the violence. Responsible gun owners are not the ones leading the hate. Responsible gun owners help to ensure that we do not see MORE hate-fueled violence by having their arms ready to defend not only our own lives, but the lives of those around us – even if they don’t agree with us.

Like it or not, gun ownership in the United States is a right bestowed upon us by our creator and is protected from the government under the Second Amendment. Please reach out to your congressional and senate representatives and encourage them to invite some of the Pro 2-A groups to participate. We need a voice to ensure that we are heard, even if they don’t agree with us. They must be reminded that the right of the PEOPLE to KEEP and BEAR arms SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED!
